Jocelyn is a passionate missionary of financial empowerment through education. She began her financial services career in 2004 with Securian Financial Services and later worked for Nationwide Financial where she directed public sector retirement plans in Arizona and served as a 457 plan specialist for PERA members in New Mexico.

Jocelyn previously led outreach efforts for the state’s 529 education savings plan and is the former owner of ClariFinancial, LLC, a New Mexico-based financial planning firm that primarily served physicians, engineers and federal employees.

Jocelyn has led numerous educational workshops and webinars, written articles for financial media and served as a guest financial expert on TV and radio. With her genuine and infectious enthusiasm, she excels in communicating complex and intimidating financial concepts in a relatable, engaging and motivating way.

Jocelyn is a native of Philadelphia and graduate of Temple University. She is a Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC®) with a focus in behavioral finance and is currently pursuing the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.

As a member of the “Sandwich Generation,” Jocelyn especially loves being able to help others who are also juggling the many demands and challenges of life today. She is an empathetic divorced mom of two teenagers and daughter of a parent who suffered from dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.

When she is not busy with her kids and rescue dogs, Jocelyn enjoys hiking, yoga, meditation, cooking, baking, golf, musical theater, podcasts, nonfiction, road trips, being a tortured Philadelphia sports fan and family visits back East.

JOCELYN’S WORST MONEY DECISION:  Feeding into the mass frenzy in 2007-2008 and buying a home with my then-spouse that was well beyond our means and left us underwater in our mortgage in less than a year. Don’t let the noise around you drown out your better judgment!
