Jocelyn is a passionate missionary of financial empowerment through education. She began her financial services career in 2004 with Securian Financial Services and later worked for Nationwide Financial where she was responsible for significantly increasing large employer retirement plan participation and engagement in Arizona and New Mexico. Jocelyn previously led outreach efforts for the State of New Mexico 529 education savings plan and is the former owner of ClariFinancial, LLC, a New Mexico-based financial planning firm.

Jocelyn has led numerous educational workshops and webinars, written articles for financial media and served as a guest financial expert on TV and radio. With her genuine and infectious enthusiasm, she excels in communicating complex and intimidating financial concepts in a relatable, engaging and motivating way.

Jocelyn is a Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC®) and currently studying for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. She is an empathetic divorcee, parent of kids growing up in the age of social media, AI and a pandemic, and member of the “Sandwich Generation.” She loves being able to help others who are also juggling the many demands of life today including caring for children and aging parents while working full-time.

Jocelyn is a native of Philadelphia and graduate of Temple University with a degree in journalism and communications. She is a busy mom of two teenagers and rescue dogs. Her interests include enjoying the outdoors, yoga, meditation, psychology, musical theater, baking, playing golf, watching her children play the piano, and supporting her son’s pursuit of chess mastery.

JOCELYN’S WORST MONEY DECISION:  Feeding into the mass frenzy in 2007-2008 and buying a home with my then-spouse that was well beyond our means and left us underwater in our mortgage in less than a year. Don’t let the noise around you drown out your better judgment!
